A bomb scare was sounded in the Capital on Saturday. This time the target of a hoax call was the Chawri Bazaar metro station. This is the fourth hoax call in the week.
According to the police, the Police Control Room received a call around 12:45 pm about a bomb being placed inside the Chawri Bazaar metro station. They immediately swung into action. Bomb detection and a disposal squad were sent to the spot.
After combing the place for about an hour, the call was declared hoax by the officials. Metro officials said that the movement of metro trains was not stopped because of the call, but entry to the station was closed. The police are now on the lookout for the hoax caller.
