Sanskriti School, Chanakyapuri hosted ‘book week’ from April 18-21 in collaboration with HT-PACE. Students of classes VI–XII participated enthusiastically in a wide range of activities like choral recitation, mad ads, spellbee, plays and debates, to name a few.
The events were divided into two categories — House events and individual events. The events gave students a platform to showcase their creativity and brought out their latent talent. Book stalls put up by various publishers gave students an opportunity to purchase books of their choice.
Movies in English and Hindi were screened to provide entertainment. Sri Venkateshwar International School, Dwarka organised an orientation programme recently to acquaint new parents with the ethos and philosophy of the school. The endeavour aimed at establishing filial ties for the holistic development of the child.
The function commenced with the introductory session by Monica Sharma, followed by the auspicious lamp lighting ceremony by Group Captain Ishwar Singh, Advisor, Venkateshwar Group of Schools, Guests of Honour — Chairman Shailander Solanki, Principal Nita Arora — and Headmistress Priya Braria.
The Principal welcomed the audience and Group Captain Ishwar Singh shared the importance of inculcating and developing sound values for the growth of the child as an individual.
Teachers enacted a skit on various situations and problems faced by parents during the initial years of the child’s schooling and conveyed the message that it was important to understand the children and their capabilities and motivate them.
Purnima Marwah, the school paediatrician, had an interactive session with parents. The orientation helped establish a rapport with the new members of the school family.
Kamal Public Senior Secondary School, Vikas Puri celebrated its Founder’s Day recently. The day was celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Late Shri OP Tandon, Founder Chairman of Kamal and Trinity Group of Institutes.
Cultural activities, issue-based discussions, literary competitions were organised to nurture the latent talent of the students. Prizes and certificates of merit were awarded to bright achievers by Principal Reema Tandon and Manager Dr RK Tandon.
A variety of activities were organised in athletics, judo, yoga, taekwondo and skating, among others.
