A 27-year-old Brazilian woman has accused her GK-II landlord of raped her twice after spiking her coffee. She lodged her complaint with the police on Tuesday evening.
The accused has been arrested and a case registered.
The woman, who came to study Mass Communication at a Noida institute, shifted to a rented accommodation in Greater Kailash-II on June 19.
She came to India in the first week of June, police said. The next day she told the police that her landlord, a property dealer named Amardeep (43) came to meet her and offered her coffee. She told the police that she was first raped on June 20.
“She said the landlord came again on June 22 and raped her. Then on June 27, when he came to rape her again, she said she resisted and told him to leave the premises,” said a senior police officer.
Police said based on the woman's complaint, they have registered a complaint at CR Park police station.
"We have recorded her statement and taken her for medical examination.
We have also apprehended the accused landlord and are questioning him," said Rajan Bhagat, spokesman, Delhi Police.
The police said they have informed the Brazilian Embassy who will provide her consular access.
Further investigations in the case were on.
