A case of criminal negligence has been filed against officials of DLF and Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) in the DLF City police station on Sunday on the basis of a complaint by the father of the victim.

Meanwhile, in the wake of mounting public anger following the death of 26-year-old mechanic, DLF has started marking missing sewerage that the HUDA was supposed to construct. The Haryana Urban Development Authority had collected crores in the form of external development charges for the same.

"The internally laid drainage lines in DLF City do not have vent to flush out the water as the HUDA that has collected crores of rupees from the private developers like us has failed to lay master sewerage channels till date," said a DLF official.

He said that the master sewerage and drainage channels which Haryana Urban Development Authority was supposed to lay had not been completed.

He said, "We have started earmarking the missing links so that accidents can be averted. On last Thursday, the residents of B-block had stormed our office and shouted slogans protesting the death of the youth."

Meanwhile, B-block residents have again threatened to storm the DLF office. "We will force them to act this time. We have been requesting them to provide a clean surrounding," said C. S. Dhingra, a resident.
