The CBI on Wednesday started attaching properties of three absconding accused in the Timing, Scoring and Result (TSR) system case related to the Commonwealth Games.

The attachment proceedings began against accused Anil Madan and PD Arya in Faridabad and AK Reddy in Hyderabad. Madan and Arya are promoters of Faridabad-based Gem International. The CBI team visited their houses at Sector 15 and Sector 16 respectively.

The CBI teams reached the premises of the accused in morning and started attaching their movable properties. The CBI chargesheet stated that the trio conspired with Commonwealth Games Organising Committee (OC) officials to award the TSR system contract to Switzerland-based Swiss Timing at Rs 157.62 crore, and ignored the bid of a Spanish firm for Rs 62.01 crore.

According to CBI sources, Madan, Arya and Reddy could not be traced during investigation.

The CBI has sought permission from the special court to initiate property attachment proceedings against them, and the court has given its nod.
Madan and Arya have been charged with receiving a payment of Rs 23.21 crore for perfunctory services.

The CBI also alleged that Reddy raised highly-inflated and bogus invoices for Rs 11.28 for temporary cabling work. This was to justify the huge payment received from Swiss Timing.
