MP to appeal verdict

bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh government is preparing to challenge the Bhopal gas tragedy verdict in the high court. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday announced the constitution of a five-member panel of legal experts to examine the judgment before going for an appeal. “The Bhopal gas tragedy is the biggest (industrial) disaster in the world. Was the two-year sentence to the accused appropriate? Justice was not done to the victims. We are disappointed,” Chouhan said.
