The Central Bureau of Investigation has again started investigating the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case. Sources said a CBI team recently interrogated Aarushi’s parents, Rajesh and Nupur Talwar and also questioned some other people to get any clues to crack the murder mystery.

A CBI official said, the couple had been in Dehradun from May 19 to May 22. “The CBI team took them to Haridwar where Aarushi’s ashes were immersed and even spoke to the pandit who had performed the rituals,” said an advocate associated with the CBI.

The Noida Police too had taken Dr Rajesh Talwar to Haridwar soon after arresting him on the double murder charge in May 2008. Later, the case was transferred to the CBI and the investigations put servants Krishna, Raj Kumar and Vijay Mandal in focus.

“Though the CBI has not given a clean chit to the servants or Aarushi’s father, there is no evidence against them. The new CBI team has now even asked the Noida Police, district hospital doctors, technicians and the NGOs about their opinion as to who could be the killer and why,” said K.K. Gautam, retired DSP.
