The CBI's March 8 report on coal scam probe, whose draft was allegedly shared with the political bosses before submission in the Supreme Court, did not contain names of the accused.
"The status report submitted to the court as part of the agency's probe into the coal scam was its first and not the concluding one since the probe is still on and, therefore, it did not carry names of individuals," said a CBI source.
"So there is no possibility of any names having been dropped due to political pressure. In our May 6 affidavit, we will submit the altered draft report too to the court," he said.
The source added, "The status report's core findings had stayed unchanged, unaltered."
