The wait for nearly 7.5 lakh students is finally going to be over with the CBSE set to declare Class 12 Board exam results on Monday at 11am. While anxiety is running high among students with just a day to go for the results, students are more worried about the impending college admissions — something that is inherently decided by the percentage scored in Class 12 exams.
“I want to study Economics (hons) and for that, it is important for me to score above 98%. If I can’t then I will have to consider other options,” said a student of Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai.
Teachers and principals, however, continue to insist that it is imperative that parents lend unstinting support to the children to avoid any untoward incident.
“The race to get into the best college starts from the very beginning. Parents and students should know that Class 12 exams are not the end. There are several options and parents should be very supportive to help children cope with whatever result they manage to get,” said Ameeta Wattal, principal, Springdales School, Pusa Road.
