Commonwealth Games Federation president Michel Fennell, who has been keeping a hawk eye on the capital's preparation for the 2010 Games, was caught napping today during a CGF delegation's inspection of the venues.
Fennell, who arrived here on Tuesday to take stock of the capital's preparation for the Games and participate in the CGF General Assembly, headed the delegation that visited the Commonwealth Games Village and the Thyagraj Sports Complex today.
At the Thyagraj complex, a slide-show was arranged and Fennell was seen napping, along with a few other members of the delegation and he woke up towards the end of the presentation.
Fennell has been critical of Delhi's preparation and had warned that the Games was heading for a "partial failure" unless the organisers pulled up their socks.
Fennell met Sports Minister MS Gill yesterday to discuss the grey areas and is keen to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to seek his intervention to expedite preparation.
