Unperturbed by the stand of the Registrar of Cooperative Group Housing Societies (RCS) that had declared self-draw of 900-odd flats in 10 Cooperative Group Housing Societies (CGHS) as ‘null and void’, CGHS members have decided to continue conducting self-draws.
One such self-draw of flats will take place on Feb 14.
The members of the CGHS have also written to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, asking him to intervene and regularise these flats.
“We can’t tolerate the government’s apathy any longer. Already, 11 societies have allotted flats to themselves through a self-draw held on Jan 3,” said Ashok Kumar, member of IDC Group Housing Society.
“We are going to do the same next week,” he added.
“The court has already given directions to RCS but they have done nothing till now,” said Kumar.
“Despite the investigating agencies giving a clean chit, we are still being harassed,” said Kumar.
On Sunday, at a meeting held in Dwarka, members of 57 societies passed a resolution, demanding regularisation of such flats.
Among those present on the occasion were A B Bardhan, CPI General Secretary, Mahabal Mishra, Congress Member of Parliament (MP) from West Delhi and Dharmdev Solanki, BJP MLA from Dwarka.
