Normal flow of traffic will be affected from Wednesday till Thursday morning owing to Chhat puja celebration in the Capital.

Chhat Puja, the main festival of Poorvanchali community, will be celebrated from Wednesday at 3pm to 9am on the next day.

The festival will be observed at Wazirabad, Geeta Colony Pusta, Shakarpur, IP Estate, ITO, Bhairon Marg, Kalindi Kunj, Bhalasva Lake, Bawana Road, Rohini, Ring Road, New Ashok Nagar, Paschim Vihar, Sultanpuri, Narela, Kalkaji and Nangloi among others.

"All along river Yamuna there is going to be large gathering of people. The devotees will arrive at the designated sites in different modes of transport. This might lead to traffic jams at many places," said Satyendra Garg, deputy chief of Delhi Traffic Police.
