"Be an example to others." This was the advice given by Chief Justice of India Altmas Kabir to juvenile delinquents. Speaking at a Children's Day function organised by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, the CJI said he had noticed considerable improvement among the children.

Justice Kabir encouraged the juveniles to be an example from what they were, what they are and what they can become.

The Children's Day celebrations were organised by the Delhi State Legal Services Authority in collaboration with the Department of Women & Child Development of Delhi Government.

Kiran Walia, Minister for Health and family Welfare, and Justice D Murugesan, Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, presided the event. It was attended by several Supreme Court and Delhi HC Judges.

Sewa Kutir Complex saw the celebrations kick off with a prize distribution ceremony for a sports event organised for the children. It was followed by a cultural programme in which children performed.
