Two Class XII students of the national open school have been arrested for allegedly abducting and molesting a 17-year-old girl in a moving car. Two other accused in the case are still absconding.
The police said that the incident happened on February 28 in Bawana Village in Outer Delhi. The girl, who is a Class XI student of a private school, was returning home after attending tuition classes when the four men abducted her.
“The girl said the men stopped the car in front of her and dragged her inside the car on a lonely stretch,” said a senior police officer.
The police said when the girl tried to raise an alarm they beat her up and threw her out of the moving car at an isolated stretch.
“The girl said the men slapped her and tried to gag her. When they failed, they got nervous and threw her out of the car.”
The girl then went home and reported the incident to her parents who approached the local police station two days later on March 2 and filed a complaint.
The girl told the police that she had seen the men in the area from where she was kidnapped. Police sent out teams and, on the basis of the description of the car, picked up suspects who were later identified by the victim.
The accused are students of Class XII and study through the national open school scheme.
The police said they have confessed their involvement in the incident.
