Congress spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi dismissed speculations about the longevity of the Congress-National Conference coalition in Jammu and Kashmir, and scotched all rumours about a rotational system for the post of chief minister. "We stand by our commitment to ensure full support to the Jammu and Kashmir coalition during the entire tenure," Singhvi said.

Trouble had arisen last week, when at a Congress rally, supporters of Saifuddin Soz had demanded rotation policy for the chief minister's chair and projected the state party chief as the candidate.
