The cold wave continued in the capital on Monday with the maximum temperature not expected to climb above 13 degrees Celsius. But there was no fog, so there were no problems for flight operations.
The city recorded a minimum of 6.5 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year. Visibility was normal and flights were running on time at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).
The maximum temperature dropped eight degrees below average on Sunday to 12.6 degrees Celsius.
"Skies will remain partly cloudy during the day with maximum temperature settling around 13 degrees Celsius," said an Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) official.
The IMD also said that there could be a possibility of rain on Tuesday and the minimum temperature would settle around eight degrees Celsius while the maximum would be near 14 degrees.
