Help is at hand for Delhi University aspirants confused between college and course and everything else. DU’s Community Radio — 90.4 FM — is playing troubleshooter for students staying within a 10-12 km radius at North Campus.
With the first cut-off list out, students can tune into ‘Mission DU Admission’ at 10 am.
The one-hour daily will run till July 2, providing students with tips and counseling from various experts including college principals. “Our volunteers visit the University and locate students who have queries. We call them and answer their doubts,” said RJ Arun Khushwaha, a student of Ramjas College.
Special sessions will also be held later for students who are unable to make it to colleges of their choice, throwing light on the alternatives that students have. Students have welcomed the initiative.
“I have been a constant listener of DU’s community radio,” said Sonu Bhatt, a MA student at DU. “I also heard the first phase of the programme during the first half of June. I think the experts provide invaluable guidance to students.”
RJ Chandraprabha Roy (21), a student of Miranda House said, “The overwhelming number of mails and messages that we receive everyday are testimony to the growing listener base."
