Computer with key project files stolen

The investigation into Barapulla project might get affected as the computer containing the details of the project has been stolen from the office of PWD in Lodhi colony area. The CBI is looking into the case. According to the FIR filed by the Executive Engineer of the PWD, the computer had sensitive details.

The incident came to light on the morning of November 7 when the guard opened the gate of PWD office. “So far, it has been discovered that the burglars have also fled with two UPS devices, a printer and a costly pen apart from two computers. We will inform the police if any other item is found to be missing,” a PWD officer said.

The missing items were kept in the room of Project Manager and his personal assistant. Two security guards were posted round the clock. According to the police, one of them had checked the gate around one at night. A case under section 380 of the IPC has been registered at the Lodhi colony police station.
