“Some BJP workers were holding a demonstration to protest against the water and electricity problems. A Congress function was underway nearby. There was some argument and workers of both parties clashed with each other,” said Virendra Singh Chail, additional commissioner of police (southeast).

Police said they have registered cases under the relevant sections at Sangam Vihar.

“We are investigating into the case. So far no one has been arrested. We will catch the accused soon,” said the officer. Police said they have identified few people.
