Plans for holding five conferences in different regions of the country to mark 125 years of Congress will more likely be finalised on Sunday.
A meeting of the PCC chiefs and AICC general secretaries will chalk out the plans to hold these conferences, a senior party leader said.
The yearlong celebrations will culminate in a plenary session in December 2010, when the party completes 125 years of its existence.
The central theme of the programmes, which had started from December 28, is "past foundation and future vision".
Congress was formed on December 28, 1885.
