Union ministers Jitin Prasada and RPN Singh along with Congress Legislative Party leader in UP assembly Pramod Tiwari and party MLC Nasib Pathan have filed a writ petition before the Allahabad HC seeking quashing of the FIR and stay on their arrest in connection with the Phulpur assault case.

They said it was a clear case of security breach and hinted that in order to cover its fault, the state government had got a fabricated FIR registered.
