The Congress on Sunday announced reshuffle of key posts in the party ahead of Lok Sabha elections next year.
Speaking to the press, party leader Janardan Dwivedi announced 12 general secretaries and 42 secretaries for the Congress.
Rahul Gandhi has been given responsibility of frontal organisations of the party.
Ajay Maken will be heading the (Congress) media cell, renamed as the communications department.
Digvijaya Singh has been made general secretary of Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Karnataka.
Madhusudan Mistry has been given charge of Uttar Pradesh and Central Election Committee and Shakeel Ahmed has been appointed general secretary of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh.
Moti Lal Vohra will continue to be treasurer, Ahmed Patel will remain political advisor to party chief Sonia Gandhi.
Hariprasad will look after Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha assisted by Bhakta Charan Das, Shubhankar Sarkar and Tara Chand Bhagora.
CP joshi will look after West Bengal, Assam and Andaman Nicobar islands.
