Days after pushing an ordinance on food security, the Congress has planned an aggressive campaign for its flagship programme that aims to guarantee subsidised food for 67% of the country’s population.

The campaign will also include central leaders travelling to different parts of the country to hold workshops for local Congress units and hold press conferences.

A core team of Congress spokespersons comprising Renuka Chowdhary, Bhakta Charan Das, Sandip Dikshit and Meem Afzal has been formed to anchor the ‘awareness campaign’ for party workers.

Congress’ chief spokesperson in Bihar Premchand Mishra, his counterpart in Maharashtra Mukesh Nayark and former Youth Congress president Randeep Surjewala have also been roped in for the purpose.
