Cops arrest 3 for jeweller's murder

Delhi Police have arrested three persons who were involved in the murder of an east Delhi-based jeweller. According to the police, the three were in 60 cases of murders and robberies in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh and had a reward of Rs 50,000 on each of them.

The three were taken into custody after police received a tip-off that they would visit the Aggarwal Funcity Mall, CBD Ground, Vishwas Nagar.

The arrested were identified as Salim, Shorab and Rustam.

"After a brief cross fire, the three were apprehended while trying to flee," said Arun Kampani, DCP (special cell).

During interrogation they confessed to the murder of Gaurav Gambhir on February 22. Gambhir was robbed of jewellery and cash worth lakhs at his shop in Krishna Nagar before being shot dead.
