The police said they busted a gang of thieves from Uttar Pradesh on Thursday and recovered several of duplicate ornaments from them.
The arrested were identified as Chanderbhan, his wife Hemlata and their two accomplices Kapil and Pankaj. The police said all four accused belonged to Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh.
“This is a professional group of thieves who lived in Faridabad to burgle empty houses,” said Madan Singh, in-charge Sector 48. “The woman used to identify empty houses during the day and get her group to steal from those at nights.”
The four were remanded to two-day police custody on Friday.
