The Delhi Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a gang of vehicle thieves with the help of Global Positioning System (GPS) installed in a motorcycle they allegedly stole. The arrested have been identified as Narender Singh (19), Deepak (19), Satish Sharma (22) and Sonu (23).
“The complainant told us that he had installed GPS on his motorcycle. The investigators started moving as per the location of the GPS-fitted motorcycle and managed to intercept the vehicle after five hours at Chaman Vihar in Loni in Uttar Pradesh,” SK Jain, deputy commissioner of police (northeast).
With the arrests, police claimed to have solved four cases of motor-vehicle thefts. The gang had allegedly stolen the motorcycle of one Vivek Kumar from Bhajanpura.
