Three men were arrested in the city, a fortnight after they barged into a finance firm's east Delhi office, held its staff and customers hostage before fleeing with Rs 1.5 lakh cash and gold, the police said on Tuesday.

Ashok Chand, deputy commissioner of police (crime), said the arrested were identified as Rahul (20), Satish (25) and Mahender (40).

They were apprehended from near the New Kondli Bridge area in New Ashok Nagar on a tip-off, on Monday.

"Three of the gang of seven had, on May 10, entered the Muthoot Financiers office in Laxmi Nagar when there was a one woman customer and four staff members present, including bank manager KC Kanujia, and robbed the bank after holding them all at gunpoint," said DCP Chand.

He said that four more members of the said gang, identified as Satpal, Rohtash Chouhan, Raj Kishore and Pradeep Tiwari, were absconding.
