The Millennium School, Noida, organised its annual cultural festival ‘Dharohar’ recently. The festival was inaugurated by Brig (retd) Trigunesh Mukherjee, AVSM. Sushma Seth was the chief guest at the occasion. She encouraged the students to pursue theatre as a source of education. Modern Vidya Niketan School, Aravali, was the winner of the Dharohar rolling trophy. Principal director of the school Mrs. Kaul reiterated the significance of Dharohar as a platform for all schools to share their experiences, raise benchmarks for self progress and development.
Bal Bharati Public School, Ganga Ram Hospital Marg, organised its annual winter carnival. The carnival included exciting game and food stalls, etc. The Interact Club stall showcased items like candles, diyas and colourful envelopes prepared by Prateek, an Institute for children with special needs. Leaflets to create awareness about ‘Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and its management’ were also distributed. LR Channa, vice-president, Child Education Society, along with principal LV Sehgal released Souvenir 2011. Principals of different branches of Bal Bharati Public School also graced the occasion.
Lilawati Vidya Mandir, Shakti Nagar, celebrated its annual day. Film actor Sushma Seth was the chief guest at the occasion. Seth along with the chairman of the school, Raj Kumar, lit the ceremonial lamp. The highlight of the event was the musical play 'Konark', based on the famous temple of Orissa. The play was directed by Ravi Taneja and assisted by Madan Dogra. Principal Sushma Khurana presented the school report and applauded the efforts of the students. Vice-chairperson Geeta Gupta and Seth released Souvenir.
Khaitan Public School, Noida, recently organised its annual cultural function. Chairman Gangesh Khaitan and Principal SL Gupta welcomed the guests. More than 200 students were honoured. Bharatnatyam exponent Prathibha Prahlad was the chief guest, while theatre director Arvind Gaur was the guest of honour. Scholarships were awarded to meritorious students.
