Former Information and Broadcasting Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunsi, who suffered a severe heart attack last October, continues to be in “a paralysed state” and his family is considering taking him to United Kingdom for treatment.
“There is no improvement or deterioration in his condition,” said a doctor treating him. “He is in a paralysed state but is stable enough to be wheeled around each day,” said the doctor, who did not wish to be named, as he is not authorised to speak to the media.
Dasmunsi has been under treatment at New Delhi’s Indraprastha Apollo Hospital since October 20 last year. He suffered a severe heart attack on October 13 and was first treated at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and shifted to Apollo at the request of his family.
