Delhi again witnessed anguish and shock over the brutal rape of a five-year-old girl whose condition has been improving with treatment at AIIMS.

April 15: 5-year-old girl child, goes missing from her east Delhi residence. was found brutalised inside on Wednesday.

April 17: She was rescued from a locked room below her Gandhi Nagar residence. The police offered Rs. 2000 to supress the case.

April 19: Minor moved from Swami Dayanand Hospital to AIIMS. She has severe infection due to foreign objects. She is responding to the antibiotics; she is stable and alert now.

April 19: Manoj Kumar Sah, the main accused and the minor girl's neighbour, nabbed in Muzaffarpur, Bihar.

April 20: Home minister, Sushilkumar Shinde orders probe into the case.

April 20: Sonia Gandhi visits the minor in AIIMS.

April 21: Main accused sent to judicial custody until May 4.

April 22: Second suspect, Pradeep, allegedly involved in the rape nabbed in Lakhisarai, Bihar.

April 22: Main accused to be produced in court

All along, protests took place outside Delhi Police headquarters, outside Gandhi Nagar police station, at AIIMS and outside the residences of PM Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
