Delhi Police on Monday doubled its existing fleet of 200 traffic police motorcycles and 50 multi-tasking Police Control Room (PCR) vehicles presently deployed to chase and prosecute traffic offenders in the capital.
Delhi Police Commissioner Y.S. Dadwal flagged off the fleet of 200 new motorcycles and 50 multi-tasking PCR vans.
"We would like to increase the numbers of vehicles in the future. But we want people to follow self-regulation and abide by traffic laws," Dadwal said.
This new fleet will regulate the traffic movement as well as prosecute the offenders, he added.
