A property dealer and his friend were arrested for allegedly abducting a woman and throwing her out of the vehicle outside AIIMS in an injured condition on Monday night.

Police sources said, the 35-year-old woman was having an extra-marital affair with the property dealer. On Monday night, she was dragged inside the car near Sri Aurobindo Marg by the two men while she was returning home after work in an auto-rickshaw.

She was thrown out after they had a heated argument over borrowed money, said police sources.

Sandeep Yadav, 26, a property dealer, and Babloo Sharma, 22, who works as a helper with a private company, were nabbed from their home in Haryana’s Faridabad. “The arrests were made following investigation after a PCR call about the incident,” said Prem Nath, DCP (South).

A team from the Hauz Khas police station reached the spot and found that the woman had been taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre in a PCR van. She had sustained minor injuries as she was dragged in the car.

“Her statement revealed that she is married and has two children. She has been living in a rented house in south east Delhi’s Badarpur for the past four years,” Nath added.

She told the police she has known Sandeep for the past five years. Sandeep had taken R7 lakh from the woman on different occasions. He returned R4 lakh, but refused to return the remaining money.

On Monday, the woman was returning home from office in an auto rickshaw at about 8 pm when she noticed Sandeep chasing her in a car from near a luxury hotel in Chanakyapuri.
