A 25-year-old man went on a killing spree over two days, shooting dead two women he had an affair with and murdering three others before committing suicide.

Police said Ravi, a taxi driver, had an affair with his cousin Naveen’s wife Renu and her sister Baby. He proposed marriage to Baby, but Renu and her father opposed the idea.

In rage, Ravi killed all four of them as well as the owner of the house where Naveen was a tenant.

Police said Ravi, armed with two countrymade pistols, went to Naveen’s home in Bindapur around 10.15am Monday. He first fired at 24-year-old Renu. Her landlady Sheela Garg, 53, came over on hearing the gunshots and became Ravi’s next target.

Ravi then went to Baby’s home in Ghaziabad and shot the 18-year-old dead. He then killed her father Harender, went to the top floor and shot himself dead.

Police said Ravi had also strangulated Naveen on Sunday night and hidden the body inside a box bed at his house.

Ravi had also threatened to kill Garg’s son Dinesh, who had tried to stop him from fleeing the Bindapur house.
