A 16-year-old girl from Assam was held captive in a house in Khayala area of west Delhi for nearly a week and raped by four men repeatedly, police said.

The victim had approached the police on Sunday and on Monday one of the accused and his wife, who reportedly knew about the crime but did not inform the police, were arrested. A hunt is on to nab the other accused.

Police said the complainant used to work as a domestic help and had recently approached her friend for job. "It was this friend of hers who took her to a house and then raped her. His friends also raped her. We have arrested Naval Kishore, 35, one of the accused, and his wife," said a senior police officer requesting anonymity.

She had worked as a domestic help in Delhi for over two years before returning to her village in Assam early this year. "She returned to Delhi in June this year and started working at a house in Rohini, Sector 13. Her employers were not treating her well so she quit her job in the last week of August," the officer added.

After leaving the job, she approached her friend Imran and asked him to arrange an accommodation for her. Imran took her to his friend Naval Kishore's house in Raghubir Nagar on August 25 and she stayed there till September 1.

She told the police that during her stay in the house, Imran and his friends Naval Kishore, Mithun and Laloo raped her. She alleged that the accused would make her consume liquor and then rape her.

"On September 2, they took her to a railway station in west Delhi in an auto and dropped her there. They gave her a ticket and asked her to go back to her village," the officer added.

But she instead went to a relative's house in Shakur Basti area of Nangloi. The relatives then approached the police and then she lodged a complaint on September 9. After interrogating Kishore's wife, the police found that the minor girl was held captive in her house and was being repeatedly raped but did not inform the police. She is also accused of prevented the girl from escaping. A case of rape has been registered.
