Residents of Delhi will continue to reel under the scorching heat Tuesday with the day temperature likely to touch 44 degrees Celsius.
The national capital recorded a minimum of 29.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above average.
"Skies will mainly be clear and the maximum temperature will hover around 44 degrees Celsius," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
No respite seems to be in sight with the Met department forecasting that the mercury level will increase further in the next few days.
"The weather will be similar for the next few days. The temperature on Wednesday could go up to 46 degrees Celsius. There is no immediate sign of rain in the city," the official added.
