Delhiites will have to brave another hot day on Sunday with the maximum temperature likely to hover around 44 degrees Celsius, a weather official said.
Residents of the city would also have to wait a while to see some rain.
"Skies will mainly be clear with no possibility of rain in the coming days," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The capital recorded a minimum temperature of 29.8 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal for this time of the year.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature recorded was 43 degrees Celsius. The Met department has forecast that the mercury levels will increase further over the next few days.
