A 22-year-old married woman was allegedly raped by her neighbour, a minor, at his home in west Delhi’s Ranhola on Tuesday afternoon, police said.

In her complaint to the police, the woman has also named three more neighbours of being the minor’s accomplices and alleged that the three had helped the accused in luring her to his house.

Police said all the four accused, including the juvenile, are currently absconding after the incident was reported to them. The three accused men have been identified as Nizamuddin, Izajul and Azrat.

A police officer said the woman lives in Ranhola area with her husband and child. On Tuesday, the woman’s husband was out of town for some personal work when one of the accused arrived at her house.

“In her statement, the woman told us that the accused asked her to go to the minor’s house as he had some important issue to discuss with her. The woman went to the teenager’s house where she claimed she was overpowered and locked in a room. She also claimed that the minor then forced himself on her even as she tried her best to escape,” said the officer.

In her complaint, the woman also alleged that the other three accused kept guard outside the main door of the house, the officer said.

The matter came to light when some neighbours heard the woman scream from the teenager’s house and someone made a call to the police control room. But by the time a police team reached the house, the accused had fled.

Even though a case of rape has been registered at the Ranhola police station on the basis of the woman’s statement, police said the minor accused was known to the woman and that she had willingly gone to his house.
