Though a missing report was lodged at Pahalgam police station on July 21, the police are yet to trace Lohiya. North Kashmir’s Superintendent of Police Mir Imtiaz Hussain said they are investigating the case. But he did not say if any action was being taken against the two accused policemen. Lohiya was reportedly last seen with Assistant Sub-Inspector Mohammad Abdullah and Constable Mohan Lal.

Lohiya’s brother Sushil said, “His friends came to know about his disappearance when they reached the shrine.”

“We also went to search for him. A doctor in an army camp recognized him and said two policemen had brought my brother in a drugged condition”, he added.
