Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Wednesday asked a private school to suspend a nurse and a teacher, who handled 17-year-old Akkriti Bhatia after she suffered asthma attack in the school campus and succumbed on way to hospital, till a final report in the case comes.

"Those two people who seem to be identified to be responsible -- one teacher and the nurse -- may be suspended till some clarification comes out," Dikshit told reporters.

Akkriti, a student of Modern School, Vasant Vihar, died on April 20 on way to hospital after suffering asthama attack in the school campus.

Dikshit said the government has received reports, which are "conflicting in nature", and things would be clear only after viscera report is received which is expected by June-end.

Sources said police in its report has not blamed the school authorities for death of the teenager while a Delhi Government-appointed committee has found lapses on the part of school management.

"We have received reports which are conflicting in nature," she said when asked about the report submitted by the probe panel formed by the Delhi Government.

The Chief Minister said the suspension of the nurse and the teacher can be revoked depending on the outcome of the final report.

The Delhi Government had constituted the panel on April 23 in the wake of public outrage over the death of Akkriti as students and the girl's parents had alleged that she died due to "negligence" by the school authorities.

The committee was asked to find out whether there was any lapse on the part of the school authorities leading to the death of Akkriti.

The committee was asked to file its report within 15 days but it had sought one more week to complete its probe, which was granted.
