Diversion for Metro work on Ring Road

Several traffic diversions will be put in place for Metro's construction work between RK Puram on Ring Road and Sarai Kale Khan. HT reports.

Several traffic diversions will be put in place for Metro's construction work between RK Puram on Ring Road and Sarai Kale Khan.

Five metro stations - Bhikaji Cama Place, Sarojini Nagar Market, INA Aurbindo Marg, Lajpat Nagar and Hazrat Nizamuddin Station - will come up on the stretch.

According to the traffic police, the left slip road from Ring Road to Africa Avenue would be closed for the construction of the Bhikaji Cama Place metro station. Traffic coming from Moti Bagh side will take a left turn on Africa Avenue at the crossing instead of the slip road.

For Sarojini Nagar, no traffic will be allowed on cross road no. 3 from its junction with Lane D to Lane X and traffic will be allowed to ply parallel to 'B' Avenue through Lane D and Lane X.

For the INA Metro station, traffic movement will be closed on Maharaja Agrasen Marg from the north part of Dilli Haat up to its junction with Aurbindo Marg. Similarly, no traffic will be allowed on Chandulal Balmiki Marg from CVC office to its junction with Aurbindo Marg. Vehicles coming from the Barapulla elevated corridor for Aurbindo Marg can take the fourth Avenue Road, Najaf Khan Marg and Jor Bagh Road to reach Aurbindo Marg from 'T' junction Barapulla road Fourth Avenue.

For Lajpat Nagar, no traffic will be allowed on Feroze Gandhi Marg from its junction with Lala Lajpat Rai Marg up to a distance of 480 metre towards Central Market except on the service lane on north of construction site and road on south. No diversion will be in place for Hazrat Nizamuddin station.
