Delhi Metro's Metro Citizens' Forum Volunteers programme has been selected for the Stevie Distinguished Honoree medal at the International Business Awards 2010 to be held in Turkey in September 2010.
The volunteers programme, which has nearly 400 members who act as DMRC's 'eyes and ears', won the award under the “Communications or Public Relations Campaign of the year – Community Relations” category, DMRC spokesperson Anuj Dayal said.
The Metro Volunteers Programme was selected for the award out of the nominations received from more than 40 countries for the awards.
While DMRC was honoured as a distinguished honoree, the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts, Seoul won the ‘Stevie Award’ in this category for its ‘Gugaknuri campaign’.
The awards will be presented to winners on 27 September in Istanbul.
