Delhi Police have arrested a domestic help, who teamed with up a local history-sheeter and allegedly committed burglary at her former employer’s house on Sunday.
According to the police, the arrested maid, identified as Pinki, was in dire need of money to arrange bail for her lover who currently is in judicial custody in a shop burglary case.
The police have also arrested her accomplice, Mohammad Asif, a history-sheeter of Ashok Vihar police station.
Meenu Choudhary, deputy commissioner of police (northwest) said Pinki and Asif were apprehended from Ashok Vihar on Wednesday when they were allegedly trying to sell the stolen articles from the house of Dr Ajay Sapra, who had earlier employed Pinki as his maid.
“The duo had broke open the bedroom of Sapra and decamped with gold, R10,000 cash, Saudi Riyals worth 10,000, laptop, wrist watches and digital cameras, said Choudhary.
