The Commonwealth Games opening ceremony is back, on public demand. If you missed all the action on Sunday, or want to watch the ceremony again, catch it on Doordarshan.

With large number of requests coming in for a repeat telecast of the opening ceremony, including senior officials of the Games Organising Committee, Doordarshan is going to heed to the demand.

Although the repeat telecast of the entire ceremony was expected to be aired on Sunday, it may not be possible with the sporting event going on. “Many requests have been coming in for a repeat telecast on Sunday, but right now we have a tight schedule,” Aruna Sharma, Director General, Doordarshan said, adding that their main priority is to telecast the sporting events and medal distribution ceremonies.

“We will be able to show it again only after the Games.” However, that not all. DD is going to come out with special DVDs of the recording of the opening ceremony too. “Our team is already working on that and the DVDs will be out in the market before the Games are over,” Sharma said.
