Delhi Police have arrested a DTC bus driver for stalking a girl for over a year. The arrest came after a complaint by Renuka (name changed) on Monday that one Jogesh Kumar, 28, working as a driver in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) and currently posted in the Nangloi Depot had been stalking her continuously for more than a year. The girl even had to move house and give up her job, because of the harassment.

"Jogesh told the police that in 2008, Renuka travelled in his bus to commute to her office in Paschim Vihar. Soon, she became friends with him," Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south) said. But after she realised that Jogesh had become possessive about her and had started monitoring her movements, she began avoiding him.

Police said Jogesh then started calling her up and harassing her. "Jogesh troubled Renuka and stalked her outside her house at Arjun Nagar, because of which she had to change her residence," Sharma added.
