A 16-year-old girl from West Bengal has alleged that she was kidnapped and raped by a 27-year-old driver in Malviya Nagar for over two months. The victim told the police that she was working as a domestic help in Malviya Nagar.
“On October 26, she was standing at Begampur bus stand when a man forcefully pulled her into his car and took her to Ullawas village in Gurgaon. There the man, identified as Basant, kept her in a room and raped her,” said a senior police officer.
On December 10, another person, identified as Leelaram, came to the room and raped her again. The same day, they dumped her at Begampur bus stand and threatened her of dire consequences, police said. The victim then approached the Malviya Nagar police.
“Her medical examination confirmed rape. The accused has been arrested,” the officer added. The victim was produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) Lajpat Nagar which directed the police to send her to child shelter. HTC
