Two men, allegedly involved in the illicit manufacturing and distribution of narcotic pseudoephedrine tablets, were arrested and controlled substance worth Rs 12 lakh were recovered from their possession, the crime branch said on Tuesday.
The accused have been identified as Prem Kumar, 35, from UP's Muzaffarnagar and Sonu Sehgal, 30, from Rohtak in Haryana. The duo supplied pseudoephedrine tablets across Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR), said SBS Tyagi, DCP (crime and railways).
"During examination, Kumar revealed that about 8-9 years ago, he operated a clinic of his own and started supplying the medicines. He used to get loose medicines manufactured through his contacts Dayanand and Sanjay Dubey of Roorkee," said DCP Tyagi.
