Over 500 students have been selected for jobs and another 415 shortlisted in varied sectors across 58 colleges during this year’s recruitment drive by the Central Placement Cell (CPC) of Delhi University.
Last year, 19 companies recruited 497 students while this year, 23 companies including few non-governmental organisations, participated in the recruitment drive.
“I am very satisfied with the way the recruitment drive has gone this year. Apart from the increase in number of companies the whole recruitment process went digital this year,” informed Seema M Parihar, chairperson of CPC.
“The varsity’s placement cell has now a database of students, so it will help us sort out the students for jobs according to their aptitude,” she added.
The CPC also plans to hold workshops, training programmes and develop modules for learning from next year to help students prepare better for interviews.
