In what is a record of sorts for Delhi University (DU), the results of the end semester examinations that were completed three weeks back were released on Tuesday night.
This is for the first time that the results have come out in such a short period of time of three weeks. While the first results were out for students of BCom, all other results will be declared by December 31.
"These are the quickest results that we have ever declared. It was a participatory and centralised process that involved thousands of teachers," said Dinesh Singh, DU's vice-chancellor.
One of the biggest oppositions to the semester system was the apprehension that results will not come out on time due to the immense pressure on the system. "We have managed to prove this belief wrong. This is a record as never in the history of the university results have come out so quickly," Singh added.
