For all of you who have questions about the new admission process but can’t get reliable information from anywhere, the Delhi University is here for help.
The university is set to provide the option of web chat for admission seekers by the end of this week. You can ask questions in this live chat and they will be answered by university officials and experts.
The university is already offering many services to answer the questions of aspirants. The DU helpline numbers — 011-27662507/08 and 011-24116752/53 — have already received more than 2,000 calls so far, with most students enquiring about the new admission process.
Students can also access the web chat through the university website, du.ac.in. “The web chat will be provided by the office of the Dean, Students’ Welfare. There will be real-time interactive question-answer sessions where students will be able to ask questions related to the admissions in various undergraduate courses,” said JM Khurana, dean, Students' Welfare.
“The information will be provided by the experts in this field. Different experts on different time schedule will be available. This facility of web chat will be available on selected days only,” Khurana added.
The DU web chat module has been developed by DU Computer Centre. The text version of chats will also be available on the website for reference.
The university has already started a Facebook page that can also be accessed through its website. More than 3,000 aspirants and students have already liked the link and many have posted questions on the discussion board. But the answers to the questions have not been provided by university officials so far. However, they say questions will be answered in a couple of days.
The university is also providing facilities such as E Open Days, telephone help lines, Delhi University Community Radio and answers through e-mails.
