Students who could not register themselves till date with Delhi University’s (DU) central placement cell so far have been given another chance to do so.

The university has now extended the deadline for all entries by another 15 days, wherein they will now close on October 31.

DU officials claimed that the process of registration, which was scheduled to end on Saturday, has now been extended till October 31.

So far, the university has registered 14,000 students with its central placement cell, including registrations from the School of Open Learning (SOL) and students of the Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), which have enrolled for the first time with the university’s placement cell.

“This year we have already registered 14,000 students till today,” Gulshan Sawhney, deputy dean of students’ welfare, DU.

“The students of non-collegiate come to the university only on Saturdays and Sundays and we want to give them some more time to register with us,” Sawhney said.

The university will now accept applications till October 31 and the placement session that was scheduled to commence on October 18, will now start on November 8.

In 2010, the Delhi University’s placement cell had recorded at total of 12,000 registrations.
